Beach path leads to the wide beach where you can walk or jog for miles, while collecting shells, beach glass and smooth stones. Should you wish to get wet, natural pools form at low tide that serves as calm waters.
Bicycling Florblanca has several beach cruisers that you may take off the property for an adventurous ride on our infamous Costa Rican roads and along our beautiful beaches. We also offer a few bikes built for two.

Surfing Costa Rica has long been known as one of the premier surf destinations in the world, and more recently the break at Santa Teresa has been discovered as the new place to surf. Within l00 yards of Florblanca's villa doors is a two mile break with surfing year round. Epic days are frequent and in certain seasons our swells and waves are unmatched on the Pacific Coast. Many other spots are within a few minutes drive and our staff, many skilled surfers, will direct or accompany you to the best spot of the day. They always know where the waves are. Florblanca provides lessons for beginners and assistance for all who want to learn. Bring your own board if you are an accomplished surfer though we do have some starter boards for those who just want to give it a try.

Yoga has been central to the culture and the daily routine of Florblanca since the opening, evidenced by the seaside open air yoga dojo and a centerpiece of the property. Santa Teresa, and this resort specifically is a lifestyle of activity for the mind and the body and its exceptional yoga and Pilates classes will allow you to stretch both that body and soul. The instructors are internationally trained and offer free classes daily. The teachers also will schedule private sessions for groups, couples or individuals.
Kayaking Imagine paddling in crystal clear water, snorkeling just off a white-sand beach, and catching a glimpse of sea turtles, laughing at playful monkeys and gliding right by huge pelicans. You can experience all this on a Seascape kayak tour at Curu Wildlife Refuge, a small wildlife preserve and national park on the southern tip of Nicoya peninsula. This location provides easy access to the parks extensive system of hiking trails, the crystal clear waters of the Pacific, several beautiful beaches, a mangrove estuary, excellent snorkeling, the Tortuga Islands and incredible wildlife, including sea turtles, monkeys and Scarlet Macaws. This tour is not to be missed!
Horseback riding where the road ends, this exceptional horse tour begins in the local fishing village of Manzanillo, 10 minutes from Florblanca. Enjoy horseback riding with local guides where you are an invited guest on a nearby private nine thousand acre working cattle ranch that borders the ocean. The ranch owners and workers are devoted to converse this area of Costa Rica, and want to give you a local eyes view. You may see birds, monkeys and other wildlife as you ride along the high pastures overlooking stunning tropical landscape and dramatic ocean vistas. A sunset ride back along the beach is a must.

Fishing trips originate in the nearby town of Malpais, in English known as the "bad lands" due to the dramatic rocky beaches. Your captain will be an experienced local fisherman and your catch could include tuna, mahi mahi, snapper, grouper, roosterfish, or other game fish. In certain seasons the famous Pacific sailfish are within reach. Off shore, your captain will point out Isla Cabo Blanco which is the nesting point of frigate birds and a unique underwater volcano. Bring your fish back to the resort and our chef will prepare it for your dinner.
Snorkeling tours will be planned at low tide so you can enjoy the tide pools of Playa Los Suecos, a secluded white sand beach bordering Cabo Blanco Preserve. Florblanca has snorkels, masks and fins at no charge, and you will be accompanied by a local naturalist. During your time in this post-card picture perfect setting, you can enjoy a picnic lunch prepared by Nectar Restaurant.
Cabo Blanco Natural Preserve Jump on the ATV's and explore the dirt road to the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula where you arrive to Cabo Blanco National Preserve, the first protected area in Costa Rica. Cabo Blanco has a number of different trails for all level of hikers. The trails are truly in the jungle, full of lush plants and flowers. You will see some wildlife such as different types of birds, monkeys, anteaters, and iguanas. After your hike through the national preserve, you will stop with your guide to the Rain Song Sanctuary. The Rain Song Sanctuary is a private establishment rescuing wild injured animals in hopes to healing them and eventually releasing them back into their natural habitat. OR Take a waterside tour of the Preserve and a trip around the "Great Rock" island which is the point of the peninsula. The island is the nesting home for frigate birds and sanctuary for pelican and marine life. Look for mating sea turtles, giant rays, dolphin and even migrating whales have been seen in certain season.

Malpaís Canopy Tour For the adventurous, a flight above the jungle canopy is a short ride away. The Malpias canopy tour is only a 15-minute drive from Florblanca, and you may go by ATV's or by taxi. The canopy tour is set on a sixty acre farm, untouched and unspoiled. You will fly above the canopy while enjoying stunning vistas of the Pacific and the border of Cabo Blanco!
