Sustainability at Capitán Suizo

Due to the admiration and respect of the culture, traditions and idiosyncrasy of this country that has achieved to have 25% of protected areas, Capitan Suizo is affiliated with conviction and compromise to the Certification for Sustainable Tourism program (CST).

The hotel signed the Code of Conduct for the protection of children and adolescents from commercial sexual exploitation in Costa Rica, supports a nonprofit organization that helps the improvement of national parks, participates in a reforestation program, waste management, composting, environmental education in local schools and provides financial support to some local committees.

Capitan Suizo regularly promotes activities that bring guests to the Costa Rican culture, such as evenings with marimba music, folkloric dances and demonstrations and selling of local craft making.
