Hotel Grano de Oro - San José
Situated on a shady street just off Paseo Colón, San José's main thoroughfare, Hotel Grano de Oro is a true oasis, a sanctuary in the heart of a bustling city. Converted from a Tropical Victorian mansion, the hotel maintains the warmth and comfort of a private home. The hotel's charming atrium terrace and corridors have sparkling fountains and lush tropical planting, and rooftop deck offers soothing Jacuzzis and a spot for secluded sunbathing. The Grano de Oro's Restaurant is one of San José's finest, serving continental cuisine in a warm and intimate atmosphere. Service is paramount and the perpetually smiling staff of the Hotel Grano de Oro welcomes guests home time and again.
Hotel Grano de Oro features forty rooms in three categories as well as three signature suites. All rooms are furnished in Tropical Victorian styles with wrought-iron beds and rich damask fabrics in three jeweled color schemes - navy, burgundy and forest-green. The art and furnishings are handcrafted by Costa Rican artists. No two rooms are alike. Private baths are blue and white Italian tile adorned with gleaming base fixtures. All rooms are designated as smoke-free, with smoking permitted in the restaurant, gardens and common areas.
