Nestled at the end of the bay on one of the most popular and beautiful swimming beaches of Costa Rica, Hotel Capitán Suizo is just outside of Tamarindo in a quaint fishing village. The bay's warm waters are ideal for swimming, surfing, kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving, and the beach is perfect for running.

Capitán Suizo is a progressive boutique beach hotel with a casual elegance, environmentally friendly philosophy and a touch of European style. Its native trees and organic tropical gardens attract a plethora of birds and provide habitat for a wide variety of wildlife. Howler monkeys, squirrels, gray iguanas, geckos, armadillos, skunks and raccoons are some of the animals that can be seen almost daily throughout the hotel's garden, a joyful oasis into which flora and fauna are integrated with love and respect.

The seven bungalows, honeymoon bungalow, 22 rooms and four-bedroom apartment are spacious, tastefully furnished and intricately decorated. Some rooms have air conditioning and others keep a pleasant temperature thanks to efficient construction style and generous ceiling fans. All rooms benefit from a balcony or terrace, overlook tropical gardens and face towards the ocean.
